The Northern Ghana Operational Area: This operational area is comprised of the Northern, Savannah, North East, Upper East and Upper West Regions. BasicNeeds-Ghana implements projects in these areas in collaboration with and through its key implementation partners namely Gub-Katimali Society (GKS) and NORSAAC in the Northern, Savannah and North East Regions, the Centre for Rights People's Development and Rights Initiatives (CPRI) in the Upper West Region.
The Mid-Ghana Operational Area: The Mid-Ghana operational area is made up of the Brong Ahafo, Ahafo, Bono East, Ashanti and Eastern Regions. Leveraging on the collaboration of implementation partners, namely MIHOSO International Foundation (which operates in the Brong Ahafo and Bono East and Ahafo Regions) and the Centre for the Development of People (operating in the Ashanti Region), BasicNeeds-Ghana implements projects and programmes in the middle belt of the country in line with the Model for Mental Health and Development.
- The Southern-Coastal Operational Area: The Southern-Coastal Operational Area is comprised of the Greater Accra, Central, Volta and Oti Regions. Working with its key implementation partner, the Mental Health Society of Ghana (MEHSOG) -- the national mental health user association -- BasicNeeds-Ghana its agenda of promoting community-based mental health treatment in the Greater Accra, Central and Eastern Regions.
Where We Work
BasicNeeds-Ghana operates the Model for Mental Health and Development either fully or selected modules of the model in 155 districts, municipal and metropolitan areas across 14 of the 16 regions of Ghana.
